In Ancient Greece, the Olympic Games marked a time that all Wars were stopped to celebrate the sisterhood and brotherhood of humanity. This Olympic Truce is called, Ekecheiria. Many of those intimately involved with this coming summers Games are striving for this tradition to be re-kindled. The United Nations recently unanimously voted to institute Ekecheiria during this summer's Games. While the world's athletes compete, we at the Passionate Peace Village in Epidavros Greece, will attempt to take things one step further.
